Family: Chase (Married: 1/1/2012)
Role at CPC: First Impressions Coordinator. I help make sure guests have a great experience at CPC. I also oversee the assimilation of our church, taking first time guests and moving them along to become fully engaged members.
Journey: I didn’t grow up in church or hearing too much about Christ. In high school, I was diagnosed with depression and was seriously seeking hope, guidance, and purpose. My best friend, Liz, invited me to check out her youth group. I went one week and saw something amongst the people that I wanted. So I kept going back. I was sixteen when my life was first changed by the power of the Gospel. Since then, I have been to Austria, Transnistria and all over the US on various mission trips. I worked in college ministry for two years at Texas A&M Commerce. Joel was my youth minister my senior year in high school (I was actually on the hiring committee for the church when we hired Joel…weird) I became close to Joel and Erica while away at college at SFA, even interning for Joel two summers. It was no question that when I moved back to Dallas in 2010 that I would get plugged in at Connection Point.
Hobby/Activity: I’m obsessed with Pinterest. I love to find projects on there to dream about doing one day…and I actually have carried out a few. Also, for the past year and a half, I have volunteered with Karen refugees, particularly one family. This amazing family pulls hard on my heartstrings.
Favorite music: Can I say Taylor Swift? Because we could be BFF.. I’m sure of it. I also really like musicians like Dave Barnes, Matt Wertz, Needtobreathe.
Favorite books: Redeeming Love, Kisses from Katie, the Mark of the Lion Series,
Favorite movies: She’s the Man, Drive Me Crazy, Love Actually… chick flicks.
Favorite restaurant: On the Border or Papasitos
