Role at CPC: Worship Leader - My goal as a worship pastor is, first of all, to teach people that there is no greater person or thing that we could worship than God. Second, to create an environment on Sunday mornings where people can freely and unashamedly worship God with a body of believers. And thirdly, to guide them to worship God on their own throughout their lives outside of Sunday morning.
Journey: I grew up in a Christian home, a child of two God-loving parents. I accepted Christ as my savior at a very young age and have been on a journey of discovering who He is and His will for my life ever since then.
My love for music also began at a young age. My parents enrolled me in piano lessons early on and then gave me a guitar in the 7th grade. I began leading worship for my youth group soon after. In college, I studied music business – production at Belmont University and planned to dive into some kind of career in the music industry. God had a better plan.
God brought me to CPC in September of 2009, when discussions were just taking place of getting the church started. Joel had a clear vision from God as to what the church needed to look like, and he was just looking for a worship leader to help him carry that out. I am so grateful to be in a place where I get to use my gifts and abilities to glorify God and further His kingdom.
Hobbies/Activities: Making videos, recording music, learning different instruments, playing softball, and hanging with my wife, of course.
