Family: Shawn (Married 9/25/93), Kaelyn (8/7/1996), Kiera (2/1/1999)
Role at CPC: Children’s Director, My vision is to reach children where they are on their level so they are excited about learning more. I want them to learn about God in a way that they can apply it at home and school and can’t wait till next Sunday.
Journey: When I was little my Mother would take us to church. I always loved it but my Dad wouldn’t go and my sister was not as enthusiastic as I was. My Mother eventually stopped taking us when I was around 7. When I went to college I met several Christians and started going to church with them. I gave my life to Christ on March, 20th 1987. There was a lot of back and forth struggling to keep control of my life while giving God a little bit. I am stubborn so it took several years for me to learn if you don’t give it all to Him you will never truly be following His will and therefore empty.
Several years later I was looking for a church for my family to grow with. I had visited several churches before but CPC was definitely different. I have found a church now that is focused on growing closer to God together through fellowship and personal time with God through prayer and time in His word. They have a burden to reach the community. God has big plans for this church and I am so honored to be a part of it.
Hobbies/Activities: Date Nights with my Husband, Hanging out with my Fabulous 2 teenage daughters, Spending time with my family and friends and laughing.
Favorite Music: I like a lot of different music but my favorite is Rock- Classic rock, hard rock, the stuff that you can’t be still when you hear it.
Favorite Books: In the Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day- Mark Batterson, E-Myth Revisited- Michael Gerber, Leadership and Self-Deception-Arbinger Institute
Favorite Movies: Contact, Blind Side, Miss Congeniality, My Fair Lady, Old Thin Man movies
Favorite Restaurant: Most Mexican Food Restaurants, Cheesecake Factory, Silver Fox( only been there once but it was Amazing)
